Weekly Accomplishments Tracker
01 — Overview
Due to updated requirements from the executive team, it became necessary to develop a standardized way to track weekly tasks and see how they aligned to CEO Priorities and Organizational Strategies. To meet this new request, I developed a Power BI report built to give program leadership a single, real-time view of weekly team progress across three development teams. It replaced a manual status process with a self-service report leadership could filter and explore themselves.
(Recreated here with fictitious data to protect project details.)
02 — Challenge & Approach
Leadership had no consolidated way to see how weekly work across multiple teams tied back to strategic priorities — status was tracked regularly but on static quad reports and alignment to priorities was not consistently reported on, which made trends hard to spot and easy to lose between reporting cycles.
To solve this, I:
Structured a weekly intake process in so team leads could log accomplishments consistently
Cleaned and modeled the data in Power Query, standardizing status, strategy, and priority fields
Built relationships and DAX measures to support filtering and roll-up views
Designed the report for both an at-a-glance summary and team-level drill-down
03 — Outcome
The dashboard turned a recurring manual reporting task into a live, filterable view leadership could use on demand — cutting compilation time and giving a clearer read on how day-to-day work ladders up to organizational strategy and CEO priorities.
