Mythos Magazine is a conceptual publication dedicated to the stories humans have shared for millennia—myths, folktales, legends, and sacred narratives from around the world. Whether the subject is a Greek deity or a regional fairytale, each feature is approached with care and curiosity, aiming to honor cultural context while highlighting the artistry of storytelling. At its core, Mythos explores why stories endure: they carry identity, morality, wonder, and a sense of belonging across generations.

Mythos

Project Description

Mythos is an imagined magazine issue centered on mythological storytelling. For the visual direction, I drew inspiration from high-fashion editorial design: large, elegant type, confident white space, and image-forward spreads—while keeping the reading experience clean and modern. The layout system is built around a (mostly) consistent grid, repeatable templates, and intentional typographic contrast to guide the viewer through features and departments.

Skills Showcased

  • Editorial layout & grid systems (repeatable templates for consistency across spreads)

  • Typography & hierarchy (headline systems, deck/subhead structure, readable body copy)

  • Art direction & visual pacing (image selection/cropping, balance of text and negative space)

  • Print-ready composition principles (margins, alignment, rhythm, and spread-to-spread continuity)

  • Brand cohesion (consistent tone, styling, and design rules across the full mock issue)
